Extinguishing media include foam concentrates, liquids, powders or gases which are used to obtain a much better fire extinguishing performance than water. These media can be used in foam sprinkler systems, emergency vehicles or portable or mobile extinguishers.
These media are therefore essential for effective firefighting.
Unfortunately, sampling conducted regularly by ANPI in recent years show that the extinguishing media installed on sites for fire protection are often poor in quality or past their expiration date.
There is no legislation imposing a minimum performance level for these media.
This is why ANPI certification of these media remains the benchmark for guaranteeing performance.
We conduct tests on extinguishing media as well as on samples taken at facilities, so that they can be certified in accordance with the following standards and specifications.
NTN 161 L Fire extinguishing media - Part L: Requirements and laboratory tests
- NTN 168 Inspection of firefighting foams - Quality of foam and concentration of water/foam solutions
- BN EN 1568-1 Fire extinguishing media- Foam concentrates - Part 1: Specification for medium-expansion foam concentrates for surface application to water-immiscible liquids
- NBN EN 1568-2 Fire extinguishing media- Foam concentrates - Part 2: Specification for high-expansion foam concentrates for surface application to water-immiscible liquids
- NBN EN 1568-3 Fire extinguishing media- Foam concentrates - Part 3: Specification for low-expansion foam concentrates for surface application to water-immiscible liquids
- NBN EN 1568-4 Fire extinguishing media- Foam concentrates - Part 4: Specification for low-expansion foam concentrates for surface application to water-miscible liquids
