ANPI's laboratories have recently been accredited by BELAC, the Belgian accreditation body, for the testing of fire-fighting foam agents according to EN 1568[1]. ANPI now offers manufacturers the possibility to certify their fire-fighting foam agents according to this set of European standards and to attest their quality in other member states of the European Union, the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the Forum of Accreditation and Licensing Bodies (FALB).
The importance of certification of an emulsifier is well established: certification is a guarantee of quality for end users, especially if it is carried out by a competent and accredited body. Accreditation attests to the competence of the organisation to carry out tests for certification.
