On Monday 6 September, the Directorate-General for Civil Protection of the FPS Interior launched a prevention campaign for firefighters focusing on three occupational risks.
The first theme concerns the rules of hygiene to be respected during an intervention in order to reduce health risks. The second theme is how to deal with aggression and the last theme is the importance of staying physically fit.
The campaign was developed in collaboration with Netwerk Brandweer, ReZonWal, the Brussels Fire Department and the representative trade unions. The campaign is aimed at fire brigades and rescue areas, which are encouraged to support their staff.
