The visual inspection of a fire detection or protection system is non-exhaustive, which does not take the correct functioning of the installation into consideration.
Visual inspections are limited to checking that the installation was conducted according to the reference standard and will give a report with partial conclusions, which will only cover its correct installation and should emphasise that its proper operation has not been checked. This type of inspection is only acceptable when operating and compliance aspects are taken into consideration and assessed separately.
This inspection will be the subject of a report whose conclusion will only reference the visual appearance and layout.
